قراءات الاحد الخامس من فترة الصوم الكبير  11 آذار 2018 

القراءة الاولى/ سفر يشوع 9: 15- 27

أنصتوا الى سفر يشوع: بارخمار ( بارك يا  سيد)

وسالَمَهم يَشوعُ وقَطعً لَهم عَهْدًا على الإِبْقاءِ علَيهم، وحَلَفَ لَهم رُؤَساءُ الجَمَاعة. وكانَ بَعدَ ثَلاثَةِ أَيَّام مِن قَطعِهمِ العَهْدَ لَهم أَن سَمِعوا أنَّ القَومَ جيرانٌ لَهم وأَنَّهم ساكِنونَ في وَسْطِهم. ذلك بأَنَّ بَني إِسْرائيلَ رَحَلوا وأَتَوا مُدُنَ القَومِ في اليَومِ الثَّالِث، وهي جِبْعونُ وكفيرةُ وبِئروتُ وقريَةَ يَعارِيم. ولم يَضرِبْهم بَنو إِسْرائيل، لأَنَّ رُؤَساءَ الجَماعةِ كانوا قد حَلَفوا لَهم بِالرَّبِّ، إِلهِ إِسْرائيل. فتَذَمَّرَت كُلُّ الجَماعةِ على الرُّؤَساء. فقالَ جَميعُ الرُّؤَساءِ لِلجَماعةِ كُلِّها: “إِنَّنا قد حلَفْنا لَهمِ بِالرِّبِّ، إِلهِ إِسْرائيل، والآنَ فلا سَبيلَ لَنا أَن نمَسَّهم بِشَرّ. هكذا نَصنعُ بِهم ونُبْقي علَيهم، فلا يَكونُ علَينا غَضَبٌ بسَبَبِ اليَمينِ الَّتي حَلَفْناها لَهم “. وقالَ الرّؤَساءُ لهم: “لِيُبْقَ علَيهم ويَكونوا جامِعي حَطَبٍ ومُستَقي ماءٍ لِلجَماعَةِ كُلِّها”. هذا ما قالَه الرُّؤَساءُ لَهم. فاستَدْعاهم يَشوعُ وخاطَبَهم قائلاً: “لِماذا خَدَعتُمونا وقُلتُم: إِنَّنا بَعيدونَ منكمِ جِدًّا، وأَنتُم مُقيمونَ بِقُربِنا؟ والآنَ مَلْعونون أَنتُم، فلَن تَزالوا عَبيدًا وجامِعي حَطَبٍ ومُستَقي ماءٍ لِبَيتِ إِلهي “. فأَجابوا يَشوعَ وقالوا: “إِنَّ عَبيدَكَ قد أُخبِروا بكُلِّ ما أَمَرَ بِه الرَّبُّ موسى عَبدَه مِن أَن يُعطِيَكم كُلَّ الأَرْض، ويُبيدَ جَميعَ سُكَّانِ الأَرْضِ مِن أَمامِكم. فخِفْنا جدًّا على أَنفُسِنا بِسَبَبِكم وفَعَلنا هذا الأَمْر. فها نَحنُ الآنَ في يَدِكَ، فما كانَ حَسَنًا وقَويمًا في عَينَيكَ أَن تَصنَعَه لَنا فاصنَعْه “. فصنع بِهم كذلك وأَنقَذَهم مِن أَيدي بَني إِسْرائيل، فلم يَقتلوهم. وجَعَلَهم يشوعُ في ذلك اليَومِ جامِعي حَطَبٍ ومُستَقي دماءٍ لِلجَماعةِ ولمَذبَحِ الرَّبِّ إِلى هذا اليَوم، في المَكانِ الَّذي يَخْتارُه.

كلام الرب

القراءة الثانية/ رومية  12: 1-21

من رسالة بولس الرسول الى رومية يقول ياأخوة : بارخمار( بارك يا سيد )

فأسألُكم يا إخوتي بمراحمِ اللهِ أن تقيموا أجسادَكم ذبيحةً حيَّةً مقدَّسةً مَرْضيَّةً عند اللهِ بخدمةٍ ناطقة، ولا تتشبَّهوا بهذا الدَّهرِ بل تغيَّروا بتجديد أفكارِكم وميِّزوا ما هي إرادةُ اللهِ الصّالحةُ المَرْضيَّةُ الكاملة. ولتكُنْ محبَّتُكم بلا غِشٍ بل كونوا للشرِّ مُبغِضين وبالخيرِ مُعتصمين، كونوا مُحبّين لإخوتِكم مُحبِّين بعضُكم لبعضٍ بالإكرام، كونوا مجتهدين غيرَ متكاسلين كونوا حارّين بالروحِ. كونوا لربِّكم عابدين، كونوا برجائِكم فرحين كونوا لشدائِدِكم محتملين كونوا على الصّلاةِ مواظِبين، كونوا في حاجةِ القدّيسين مشترِكين. كونوا للغُرباءِ مُحبِّين. باركوا مضطَهِديكم بارِكوا ولا تلعنوا، افرحوا مع الفَرِحين وابكُوا مع الباكِين، وما ترتئونه لنفوسِكم فارتأُوهُ لإِخوتِكم أيضا ولا ترتئوا رأياً شامخاً بَلْ لازموا المتواضعين ولا تكونوا حكماءَ عندَ نفوسِكم، ولا تُجازوا أحداً شرّاً بشّرٍ بلِ احرصوا أن تعمَلوا الصّالحاتِ قُدّامَ جميعِ النّاس، وإن أمكنَ فسالِموا النّاسَ جميعاً على قَدرِ طاقتِكم، ولا تنتقموا لنفوسِكم يا أحبائي بلِ اتركوا موضِعاً للغضبِ لأنَّهُ مكتوبٌ: إن لم تنتقِمْ لنفسِك فأنا انتقِمُ لك يقولُ الله، فإذا جاع عدُوُّك فأطعِمْهُ وإن عطِش فاسْقِهِ فإنّك إذا فعلتَ ذلك تَرْكُمُ جَمرَ نارٍ على هامته، لا يغلبِكمُ الشرُّ بلِ اغلبوا الشرَّ بالخير.

إنجيل اليوم/ يوحنا  7: 32 –52 

إنجيل سيدنا يسوع المسيح للقديس يوحنا

وفي اليومِ الأخيرِ العظيمِ من العيد كان يسوعُ واقفاً ينادي ويقول: إن كان أَحدٌ عطشانَ فليأْتِ إليَّ ويشرَبْ، كُلُّ من يؤمنُ بي فكما قالتِ الكُتُبُ ستجري من بطنهِ أنهارُ ماءِ الحياةِ، إنّما قال هذا عنِ الرّوحِ الّذي كان المؤمنون بهِ مزمِعين أن يقبلوهُ إذ لم يكُنِ الرّوحُ قد أُعطي بعدُ لأنَّ يسوعَ لم يكن قد مُجِّدَ بعدُ. ثُمَّ كلَّمهم يسوعُ أيضاً قائلاً: أنا هو نورُ العالم من يتبَعني فلا يمشي في الظَّلام بل يجِدُ نورَ الحياةِ، قال لهُ الفريسيّون: أنت تشهدُ لنفسِك فليست شهادتُك حقّاً. أجاب يسوعُ وقال لهم: إنّني وإن كنتُ أشهدُ لنفسي فشهادتي حقٌ هي لأنّي أعلَمُ من أين أتيتُ وإلى أين أذهب وأمّا أنتم فلا تعلمون من أين جئتُ ولا إلى أين أَذهب، أنتم إنما تدينون بحَسَبِ الجسَد وأنا لا أدينُ أحداً، وإن أنا دِنتُ فدينونتي هي حقٌّ لأنّي لستُ وحدي بل أنا وأبي الّذي أرسلني، وقد كُتِب في ناموسِكم أنَّ شهادةَ رجُلين هي حقٌ، أنا الشّاهدُ لنفسي وأبي الذي أرسلني يشهدُ لي، قالوا لهُ: أين هو أبوك. أجاب يسوعُ وقال لهم: إنّكم لا تعرِفوني أنا ولا أبي ولو كنتم تعرِفونني لَعَرفْتُم أبي أيضاً، هذا الكلامُ قالهُ في الخزانةِ وهو يعلِّمُ في الهيكل ولم يُمسِكْهُ أحدٌ لأنّ ساعتَهُ لم تكن قد جاءَت بعدُ.

لنقم حسنا ونصل بخشوع قائلين: يارب إرحمنا

* يا رب كي لا نستعلي على أحد ولا نحتقر البسطاء أو المنكوبين، بل نتواضع ونحترم الكل: نرجوا ونقول

*يا رب كي يكون صومنا بالتوبة والإتكال عليك ونغذّي سيرتنا بالتامل والصلاة والرجاء نصلي ونقول

* بشفاعة القديس يوسف شفيع الآباء والمربين والعائلات نرفع أليك يا رب صلاتنا ،من أجل كل مربِّ وأب ومعلم ومسؤول ، كي ينظروا إلى الآخرين نظرة الأب الحنون والعادل فيقودوا العائلات والشعوب إلى التآخي والتلاميذ إلى النضج الأنساني والفكري نصلي ونقول

* نضعُ أمامك جميعَ المُنتَقِلينَ مِن هذه الحَياة، إستَقبِلهُم بِفَيضِ رَحمتِك، وأدخِلهُم ملكوتَك، أيّها الأبُ الغافِر والرَحوم، غافرًا لنا ولهم الخطايا والزلاّت. نرجوا ونقول.

5^th     Sunday of Lent      March 11, 2018

1st Reading / Joshua 9:15-27

Listen to the Book of Joshua : Barekhmar.

Joshua made a peace treaty with them and agreed to let them live. The leaders of the community sealed it with an oath.

Three days after they made the treaty with them, the Israelites found out they were from the local area and lived nearby. So the Israelites set out and on the third day arrived at their cities—Gibeon, Kephirah, Beeroth, and Kiriath Jearim. The Israelites did not attack them because the leaders of the community had sworn an oath to them in the name of the Lord God of Israel. The whole community criticized the leaders, but all the leaders told the whole community, “We swore an oath to them in the name of the Lord God of Israel. So now we can’t hurt them! We must let them live so we can escape the curse attached to the oath we swore to them.” The leaders then added, “Let them live.” So they became woodcutters and water carriers for the whole community, as the leaders had decided.

Joshua summoned the Gibeonites and said to them, “Why did you trick us by saying, ‘We live far away from you,’ when you really live nearby? Now you are condemned to perpetual servitude as woodcutters and water carriers for the house of my God.” They said to Joshua, “It was carefully reported to your subjects how the Lord your God commanded Moses his servant to assign you the whole land and to destroy all who live in the land from before you. Because of you we were terrified we would lose our lives, so we did this thing. So now we are in your power. Do to us what you think is good and appropriate.” Joshua did as they said; he kept the Israelites from killing them  and that day made them woodcutters and water carriers for the community and for the altar of the Lord at the divinely chosen site.

2nd Reading / Romans 12: 1-21

A reading from the Letter of Saint Paul to the Romans: Barekhmar

Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God–this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is–his good, pleasing and perfect will. Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction faithful in prayer. Share with God’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited. Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay, says the Lord. On the contrary: If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink.  In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good

Gospel Reading/John 7: 37-52

A reading from the Gospel of Saint John

On the last and greatest day of the Feast, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him.” By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified. When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” The Pharisees challenged him, “Here you are, appearing as your own witness; your testimony is not valid.”  Jesus answered, “Even if I testify on my own behalf, my testimony is valid, for I know where I came from and where I am going. But you have no idea where I come from or where I am going. You judge by human standards; I pass judgment on no one. But if I do judge, my decisions are right, because I am not alone. I stand with the Father, who sent me. In your own Law it is written that the testimony of two men is valid. I am one who testifies for myself; my other witness is the Father, who sent me.”  Then they asked him, “Where is your father?” You do not know me or my Father,” Jesus replied. “If you knew me, you would know my Father also.” He spoke these words while teaching in the temple area near the place where the offerings were put. Yet no one seized him, because his time had not yet come

Prayer of Faithfull

Response: Lord hear us

* That as God invites us to work in his vineyard, this world; we may use our God given talents and gifts for the benefit of God’s work and glory. That we may all live with a sense of vocation, as people called to share in the mission of Jesus, to establish the kingdom of God on earth. We pray to the LORD.

* That we see the Sacrifice of Jesus as a sign of God’s Love for us and that we in turn love God and serve and help His people on this earth, the poor, the sick, the hungry, the imprisoned, the outcasts and the lonely. We pray to the LORD

* Lord Jesus, we pray that during this Lent we do not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God. Let us stand firm in every trial and give us the determination to fast, pray and do charity for the whole of period of Lent.
