القراءة الاولى/ سفر التكوين  17: 1-7

أُجْلُسوا أَنصُتوا إِلى سِفْرِ التكوين : بِارِخْمار.

ولما صار أبرام ابن تسعٍ وتسعين سنةً تراءى الربُّ لأبرام وقال لهُ: أنا الله القديرُ. سِر أمامي: وكُن بلا عيب، فأجعلَ ميثاقي بيني وبينك وأُكثّركَ جدّاً جدّاً، فسقَط أَبرامُ على وجههِ وتكلَّم الله معهُ قائلاً له: ها أنا أُقيمُ عهدي معك وتكونُ أباً لأُممٍ كثيرة، فلا يُدعى بعدُ اسمُك أَبرام  بل يكونُ اسمُك إِبراهيم لأَني جعلتُك أَباً لأَممٍ كثيرة، وسأُنميك وأكثّرك جداً، جداً، وأَجعلُك لأُممٍ وملوكٌ من صُلبِك يخرُجون، وأُقيم ميثاقي بيني وبينَك وبين نسلِك من بعدِك مدى أَجيالهم ميثاقاً أبديّاً فأكونُ إِلهاً لك ولنسلِك من بعدِك.

القراءة الثانية/ آفسس  5: 21-33

من رسالة بولس الرسول  الى أهلِ أفسس يقول يا أخوة بارك يا سيد (بارخمار)

لِيَخضَحعْ بَعضُكم لِبَعضٍ بِمخافة المسيح. أَيَّتُها النِّساء، اِخضَعْنَ لأَزْواجِكُنَّ خُضُوعَكُنَّ لِلرَّبّ، لأَنَّ الرَّجُلَ رَأسُ المَرأَة كما أَنَّ المسيحَ رَأسُ الكَنيسةِ الَّتي هي جَسَدُه وهو مُخلِّصُها وكما تَخضَع الكنيسةُ لِلمسيح فلْتَخضَعِ النِّساءُ لأَزواجِهِنَّ في كُلِّ شَيء. أَيَّها الرِّجال، أَحِبُّوا نِساءَكم مثلما أَحَبَّ المسيحُ الكَنيسة وضحّى بِنَفسِه مِن أَجْلِها لِيُقدَسَها ويطهِّرها إِيَّاها بِغُسلِ الماءِ وكَلِمَةٍ تَصحَبُه، فيَزُفَّها إِلى نَفْسِه كَنيسةً سَنِيَّة لا دَنَسَ فيها ولا تَغَضُّنَ ولا ما أَشْبهَ ذلِك، بل مُقدَّسةٌ بِلا عَيب. وكذلِك يَجِبُ على الرِّجالِ أَن يُحِبُّوا نِساءَهم حُبَّهم لأَجسادِهِم. مَن أَحَبَّ امرَأَتَه أَحَبَّ نَفْسَه. فما أَبغَضَ أَحَدٌ جَسَدَه قَطّ، بل يُغَذِّيه ويُعْنى بِه شَأنَ المسيحِ بِالكَنيسة. فنَحنُ أَعْضاءُ جَسَدِه. ”ولِذلِك يَترُكُ الرَّجُلُ أَباه وأُمَّه ويَلزَمُ امرَأَتَه فيَصيرُ الاِثْنانِ جَسَدًا واحِدًا“. إِنَّ هذا السِّرَّ لَعَظيم، وإِنِّي أَقولُ هذا في أَمرِ المسيحِ والكَنيسة. فكذلك أَنتُم أَيضًا فلْيُحِبَّ كُلٌّ مِنْكُمُ امرَأَتَه حُبَّه لِنَفْسِه، ولْتُوَقِّرِ المَرأَةُ زَوجَها. أَيُّها الأَبناء، أَطيعوا والِدِيكم في الرَّبّ، فذلِك عَدْلٌ. ”أَكرِمْ أَباكَ وأُمَّك“، تِلكَ أُولى وَصِيَّةٍ يَرتَبِطُ بِها وَعْدٌ وهو: ”لِتَنالَ السَّعادة ويَطولَ عُمرُكَ في الأَرْض. وأَنتُم أَيُّها الآباء، لا تُغيظوا أَبناءَكم، بل رَبُّوهم بِتَأديبِ الرَّبِّ ونُصْحِه.

إنجيل اليوم/ لوقا  17: 1-27 

إنجيل سيدنا يسوع المسيح  للقديس لوقا

لَمَّا أَن أَخذَ كثيرٌ مِنَ النَّاسِ يُدَوِّنونَ رِوايةِ الأُمورِ الَّتي تَمَّت عِندنَا، كما نَقَلَها إلَينا الَّذينَ كانوا مُنذُ البَدءِ شُهودَ عِيانٍ لِلكَلِمَة، ثُمَّ صاروا عامِلينَ لها، رَأَيتُ أَنا أَيضاً، وقَد تقَصَّيتُها جَميعاً مِن أُصولِها، أَن أَكتُبَها لَكَ مُرَتَّبَةً يا تاوفيلُسُ المُكَرَّم، لِتَتَيَقَّنَ صِحَّةَ ما تَلَقَّيتَ مِن تَعليم. كانَ في أيَّامِ هيرودُس مَلِكِ اليَهودِيَّة كاهِنٌ اسمُه زَكَرِيَّا مِن فِرقَةِ أَبِيَّـا، لَه امَرأَةٌ مِن بَناتِ هارونَ اسمُها أَليصابات، وكانَ كِلاهما بارّاً عِندَ الله، تابعاً جميعَ وَصايا الرَّبِّ وأَحكامِه، ولا لَومَ علَيه. ولَم يَكُنْ لَهما وَلَد لأَنَّ أَليصاباتَ كانَت عاقِراً، وقَد طَعَنا كِلاهُما في السِّنّ. وبَينَما زَكَرِيَّا يقومُ بِالخِدمَةِ الكَهنوتِيَّةِ أمامَ اللهِ في دَورِ فِرقَتِه، أُلقِيَتِ القُرعَةُ جَرْياً على سُنَّةِ الكَهَنوت، فأَصابتَهُ لِيَدخُلَ مَقِدسَ الرَّبِّ ويُحرِقَ البَخُور. وكانَت جَماعَةُ الشَّعبِ كُلُّها تُصَلِّي في خارِجِه عِندَ إِحراقِ البَخور. فَتَراءَى لَه مَلاكُ الرَّبِّ قائِماً عن يَمينِ مَذبَحِ البَخُور. فَاضطَرَبَ زَكَرِيَّا حينَ رآهُ واستَولى علَيِهِ الخَوف. فقالَ لهَ الـمَلاك: ”لا تَخَفْ، يا زَكَرِيَّا، فقدَ سُمِعَ دُعاؤُكَ وسَتَلِدُ لكَ امَرأَتُكَ أَلِيصاباتُ ابناً فَسَمِّه يوحَنَّا. وستَلْقى فَرَحاً وابتِهاجاً، ويَفرَحُ بِمَولِدِه أُناسٌ كثيرون. لأَّنَّه سيَكونُ عَظيماً أَمامَ الرَّبّ، ولَن يَشرَبَ خَمراً ولا مُسكِراً، ويَمتَلِئُ مِنَ الرُّوحِ القُدُس وهوَ في بَطْنِ أُمِّه.

الكاهن :المجد لله دائما ً  الشعب :المجد للمسيح ربنا

إبتهالات .. وطلبات .. وتضرعات 

لنقم حسناً ونصلِّ بفرحٍ وإيمان قائلين : تعال أيها الرب يسوع .

*حث الرسول الأزواج على المحبة المتبادلة: يا رب كي تسود المحبة في العوائل ليتفاهموا ويتكاملوا بثقة: نطلب قائلين.

* لأجل رعيتنا في هذه البلاد كي تظل أمينة على الأيمان والأخلاق ووحدة العائلة وقيمها: نطلب قائلين

*نَضَعُ أمامكَ يا رب كلَّ مَنِ إنتَقَلَ مِن هذه الحَياة، لا تَنظُر إلى آثامٍ إرتكبوها عن قَصدٍ أو بِغَيرِ قَصد، بل أنظُر إلى مَوتِ إبنِك مِن أجلِ زلاّتنا، وقيامتِه مِن أجلِ تَبريرِنا، غافِرًا لنا ولهم الخطايا والزلاّت: نطلب قائلين.

1st Reading/ Genesis 17: 1-7

A reading from the Book of  Genesis “Barichmar”

When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to him and said: “I am God the Almighty. Walk in my presence and be blameless. Between you and me I will establish my covenant, and I will multiply you exceedingly.” When Abram prostrated himself, God continued to speak to him: “My covenant with you is this: you are to become the father of a host of nations. No longer shall you be called Abram; your name shall be Abraham, for I am making you the father of a host of nations. I will render you exceedingly fertile; I will make nations of you; kings shall stem from you. I will maintain my covenant with you and your descendants after you throughout the ages as an everlasting pact, to be your God and the God of your descendants after you.

This is the Word of God.  Thanks be to God.

2nd Reading / Ephesians 5:21-33

A reading from the Letter of St. Paul to Ephesians: Barichmar

Be subordinate to one another out of reverence for Christ. Wives should be subordinate to their husbands as to the Lord. For the husband is head of his wife just as Christ is head of the church, he himself the savior of the body. As the church is subordinate to Christ, so wives should be subordinate to their husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ loved the church and handed himself over for her to sanctify her, cleansing her by the bath of water with the word, that he might present to himself the church in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish. So (also) husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. For no one hates his own flesh but rather nourishes and cherishes it, even as Christ does the church, because we are members of his body. “For this reason a man shall leave (his) father and (his) mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.” This is a great mystery, but I speak in reference to Christ and the church. In any case, each one of you should love his wife as himself, and the wife should respect her husband. Children, obey your parents (in the Lord), for this is right. “Honor your father and mother.” This is the first commandment with a promise, “that it may go well with you and that you may have a long life on earth.” Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up with the training and instruction of the Lord.

Gospel Reading/ Luke 17:1-27

A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Luke

Since many have undertaken to compile a narrative of the events that have been fulfilled among us, just as those who were eyewitnesses from the beginning and ministers of the word have handed them down to us, I too have decided, after investigating everything accurately anew, to write it down in an orderly sequence for you, most excellent Theophilus, so that you may realize the certainty of the teachings you have received. In the days of Herod, King of Judea,  there was a priest named Zechariah of the priestly division of Abijah; his wife was from the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth. Both were righteous in the eyes of God, observing all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blamelessly. But they had no child, because Elizabeth was barren and both were advanced in years. Once when he was serving as priest in his division’s turn before God, according to the practice of the priestly service, he was chosen by lot to enter the sanctuary of the Lord to burn incense. Then, when the whole assembly of the people was praying outside at the hour of the incense offering, the angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing at the right of the altar of incense. Zechariah was troubled by what he saw, and fear came upon him. But the angel said to him, “Do not be afraid, Zechariah, because your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall name him John. And you will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth, for he will be great in the sight of (the) Lord. He will drink neither wine nor strong drink. He will be filled with the holy Spirit even from his mother’s womb.

*For the leaders of our church: that during this time of Advent that they will follow the example of St Paul to be grateful for how we have been enriched through the graces we have received through Jesus.  We pray to the Lord

*For the leaders of the world: that during this time they may stress the importance of unity and love for one another. We pray to the Lord

*For those who are burdened and suffering: especially those who have lost hope and find no meaning in their lives. May the caring hands that support them show the evidence of God’s love.  We pray to the Lord
