القراءة الأولى/ سفر أشعيا 1: 21- 31

إجلسوا أنصتوا إلى سفر إشعيا: بارخمار.

كيفَ صارَتِ المَدينَةُ الأَمينَةُ زانِيَة؟ لقَد كانَت مَمْلوءَةً عَدلاً وفيها كانَ مَبيتُ البِرّ أَمَّا الآنَ فإِنَّما فيها قَتَلَة. فِضَّتُكِ صارَت خَبَثَّاَ وشَرابُكِ مُزِجَ بِماء. رُؤَساؤكِ عُصاةٌ وشُرَكاءُ لِلسَّرَّاقين كُلٌّ يُحِبّ الرَّشوَةَ ويَسْعى وَراءَ الهَدايا. لا يُنصِفونَ اليَتيم ودَعْوى الأَرمَلَةِ لا تَبلغٌ إِلَيهم. فلِذلكَ قالَ السَّيِّدُ رَبُّ القُوَّات عَزيزُ إِسْرائيل: لَأَثأَرَنَّ مِن خصومى وأَنتَقِمَنَّ مِن أَعْدائي وأَرُدُّ يَدي علَيكِ وأُحرِقُ خَبَثَكِ كما بِالحُرُض وأَنزعُ نفاياتِكِ كُلَّها وأُرجعُ قُضاتَكِ كما في الأَوَّل ومُشيريكِ كما في الِآبتِداء وبَعدَ ذلك تُدعَينَ مَدينَةَ البِرِّ، البَلدَةَ الأَمينَة. تفتَدى صِهيونُ بِالحَقّ والرَّاجِعونَ مِنها بِالبِرّ. والعُصاةُ والخاطِئونَ يُحَطَّمونَ جَميعاً والَّذينَ تَرَكوا الرَّبَّ يُفنَون. فإِنَّهم سيَخزَونَ مِن البُطمِ الَّذي شُغِفتُم بِه وأَنتُم تَخجَلونَ مِنَ الجِنانِ الَّتي آختَرتُموها فإِنَّكم تَصيرونَ كبُطمَةٍ ذَوت أَوراقُها وكجَنَّةٍ لا ماءَ فيها. ويَصيرُ الجَبَّارُ مُشاقَةً وعَمَلُه شَرارة فيَحتَرِقانِ كِلاهُما مَعاً ولَيسَ مَن يُطفِئ.  كلام الرب

القراءة الثانية/ 1 قورنتس 14: 1-5، 18  

من رسالة بولس الرسول الأولى إلى أهل قورنثية، يقول يا أخوة: بارخمار.

إِسْعَوا إلى المَحبَّة واطمَحوا إلى مَواهِبِ الرُّوح، ولا سِيَّما النُّبوءَة. فإِنَّ الَّذي يَتَكلَّمُ بِلُغاتٍ لا يُكَلِّمُ النَّاسَ بلِ الله، فما مِن أَحَدٍ يَفهَمُ عَنه، فهو يَقولُ بِروحِه أَشياءَ خَفِيَّة. وأَمَّا الَّذي يَتَنَبَّأ فهو يُكلِّمُ النَّاسَ بِكلام يَبْني ويَحُثُّ ويُشَدِّد. الَّذي يَتَكلَّمُ بِلُغاتٍ يَبْني نَفْسَه، وأَمَّا الَّذي يَتَنَبَّأ فيَبْني الجَماعة. إِنِّي أَرغَبُ في أَن تَتَكلَّموا كُلُّكُم بلُغات، وأَكثَرُ رَغبَتي في أَن تَتَنَبَّأُوا، لأَنَّ المُتَنَبِّىءَ أَفضَلُ مِنَ المُتَكلِّمِ بِلُغات، إِلاَّ إِذا كانَ هذا يُتَرجِمُ لِتَنالَ الجَماعةُ بُنْيانَها. إِنِّي، والحَمدُ لله، أَتَكلَّمُ بِلُغاتٍ أَكثَرَ مِمَّا تَتكلَّمونَ كُلُّكُم.

النعمة والسلام مع جميعكم يا أخوة، آمين.

أنجيل لوقا 12: 16- 21

أنجيل ربنا يسوع المسيح للقديس لوقا.

ثُمَّ ضَرَبَ لَهم مَثَلاً قال:((رَجُلٌ غَنِيٌّ أَخصَبَت أَرضُه، فقالَ في نَفسِه:ماذا أَعمَل؟ فلَيسَ لي ما أَخزُنُ فيه غِلالي. ثُمَّ قال:أَعمَلُ هذا:أَهدِمُ أَهرائي وأَبْني أَكبرَ مِنها، فأَخزُنُ فيها جَميعَ قَمْحي وأَرْزاقي. وأَقولُ لِنَفْسي:يا نَفْسِ، لَكِ أَرزاقٌ وافِرَة تَكفيكِ مَؤُونَةَ سِنينَ كَثيرة، فَاستَريحي وكُلي واشرَبي وتَنَعَّمي. فقالَ لَه الله: يا غَبِيّ، في هذِهِ اللَّيلَةِ تُستَرَدُّ نَفْسُكَ مِنكَ، فلِمَن يكونُ ما أَعدَدتَه؟ فهكذا يَكونُ مصيرُ مَن يَكنِزُ لِنَفْسِهِ ولا يَغتَني عِندَ الله)).

المجد لله دائما….المجد للمسيح ربنا

إبتهالات .. وطلبات .. وتضرعات

لنقم حسنا ونصلّ بحرارة وثقة قائلين: يا رب إستجب لنا…

* قال الرب حيث كنزكم هناك قلبكم: يا رب كي لا نثقل انفسنا بهموم الدنيا بل نطلب حكمتك وحبك: نطلب منك

* دعانا بولس الى طلب مواهب الروح : يا رب كي تملأنا من مواهب الروح القدس وترشدنا الى استثمارها لبنيان الكنيسة وتطوير المجتمع الانساني: نطلب  منك.

* نصلي يا أبانا مع جميع الخطأة والبعيدين عنك لكي يتشجعوا ويطلبوا منك الغفران ويتحرروا مِن كلِّ ما يُكّبِّلهم فينفتحوا على كلمتكَ ويجدِّدوا حياتَهم معكَ: نطلب منكَ.

* نصلي لأجل جميع الحزانى والمرضى والخطأة والمعذبين ، أفض يا رب روحك القدوس على حياتهم رجاءً وسلاماً: نطلب منك.

* نذكر يا أبانا جميع موتانا الذين سمعوا كلمتك وعملوا بها، إجعل غيابهم عنّا في سبيل لقائكَ والجلوس في أحضانكَ بين الابرار، أَرِحهم في ملكوتكَ وأهلنا وإيّاهم أن ننال المراحم وغفران خطايانا وخطاياهم: نطلب منك.

Feast of St Thomas,

1st Reading/ Isaiah 1:21-31

A reading from the Book of Isaiah “Barikh-Mar “.

The city that once was faithful is behaving like a whore! At one time it was filled with righteous people, but now only murderers remain. Jerusalem, you were once like silver, but now you are worthless; you were like good wine, but now you are only water. Your leaders are rebels and friends of thieves; they are always accepting gifts and bribes. They never defend orphans in court or listen when widows present their case. So now, listen to what the Lord Almighty, Israel’s powerful God, is saying: “I will take revenge on you, my enemies, and you will cause me no more trouble. I will take action against you. I will purify you the way metal is refined, and will remove all your impurity. I will give you rulers and advisers like those you had long ago. Then Jerusalem will be called the righteous, faithful city.” Because the Lord is righteous, he will save Jerusalem and everyone there who repents. But he will crush everyone who sins and rebels against him; he will kill everyone who forsakes him. You will be sorry that you ever worshiped trees and planted sacred gardens. You will wither like a dying oak, like a garden that no one waters. Just as straw is set on fire by a spark, so powerful people will be destroyed by their own evil deeds, and no one will be able to stop the destruction.

This is the Word of the Lord

2nd Reading /1st  Corinthians 14: 1-5, 18

A reading from the first Letter of St. Paul to Corinthians “Barikh-Mar.

It is love, then, that you should strive for. Set your hearts on spiritual gifts, especially the gift of proclaiming God’s message. Those who speak in strange tongues do not speak to others but to God, because no one understands them. They are speaking secret truths by the power of the Spirit. But those who proclaim God’s message speak to people and give them help, encouragement, and comfort. Those who speak in strange tongues help only themselves, but those who proclaim God’s message help the whole church. I would like for all of you to speak in strange tongues; but I would rather that you had the gift of proclaiming God’s message. For the person who proclaims God’s message is of greater value than the one who speaks in strange tongues—unless there is someone present who can explain what is said, so that the whole church may be helped. I thank God that I speak in strange tongues much more than any of you.

The grace and peace be with you all brothers. Amen.

Gospel Reading/ Luke 12: 16- 21

A reading from the Holy Gospel According to Saint Luke.

Then Jesus told them this parable: “There was once a rich man who had land which bore good crops. He began to think to himself, ‘I don’t have a place to keep all my crops. What can I do? This is what I will do,’ he told himself; ‘I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, where I will store the grain and all my other goods. Then I will say to myself, Lucky man! You have all the good things you need for many years. Take life easy, eat, drink, and enjoy yourself!’ But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night you will have to give up your life; then who will get all these things you have kept for yourself?’” And Jesus concluded, “This is how it is with those who pile up riches for themselves but are not rich in God’s sight.”

For the Church – that they may enter more fully into the tasks God asks of them and become witnesses of charity to our brothers and sisters in need…

For this community of faith – that in seeking to follow Jesus, wherever the Spirit leads, we may follow him as Mary, his mother, and first disciple did….

For those who have followed Jesus– that having followed Jesus in this life may they now be fit for the kingdom of God….
